The Union and CAAS have enjoyed a close and collaborative partnership for many years. On 12 Jan 2010, we witnessed the signing of the new CAAS Collective Agreement, which is yet another milestone to signify the present climate of trust and communication between the CAAS and the Union. As we enter the new year, both Union and CAAS will continue to work together to resolve staff issues and to ensure the continued success of CAAS.

The new CAAS Collective Agreement, which covers 12 unionised schemes, is valid for a period of three years with effect from 1 Jan 2010. The terms and conditions covered in the Collective Agreement include salaries, compensation for work performed during overtime, restdays and public holidays, benefits, allowances, etc. A total of 55 persons comprising union representatives, CAAS Staff Branch Committee, Division Heads, Section Heads/ Staff from ATS, union members from other Divisions and HR attended the signing ceremony. A lunch reception was held to provide the opportunity for both management and union officials to interact informally to enhance the cordial working relationships. |
