The aviation training infrastructure in Singapore is well developed. Specialized courses are available at Singapore’s polytechnics and universities from post-secondary to post-graduate levels. Providing comprehensive training, graduates from the various aviation courses offered at these institutions are highly sought after by aviation companies.
In recent years, Singapore has made leaps and bounds in aviation training with the entry of international players such as Lufthansa Technik and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and as recent as July 2011, Rolls-Royce opened the first of its kind Regional Training Centre. Local training institutions have also expanded their educational offerings to cater to the growing needs of the industry. Many of these institutions have excellent practical training facilities with fully-equipped workshops and hanger facilities.
