The Aviation Challenge was launched in 2014 with the objective of developing innovative solutions to automate labour-intensive processes in airport operations

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) is pleased to launch Aviation Challenge 3 (AC3). The theme of this challenge is Innovation to Enable Seamless Ground Operations, which seeks to enhance airside operations and enable solutions that will help address Changi’s long-term challenges arising from strong air traffic growth.

AC3 will adopt a thematic call for proposals, which will afford applicants greater flexibility to identify their own specific problem statements relating to the following opportunity areas:

1.         Automated Apron

2.         Optimisation of Airside Capacity

3.         Data-driven Airport

All successful applicants will receive funding support for prototype development and initial implementation. Please refer to the Call For Proposal for more information.

How to apply

Applicants are required to submit their proposals using the Concept Proposal Form and submit the form via email to caas_ai@caas.gov.sg.

Submitted proposals will be evaluated through a two-stage evaluation. Shortlisted applicants from Stage 1 will be required to submit a full proposal for the next stage of evaluation. The figure below details the evaluation process.Picture1
