"Beat the Recession" and Be Rewarded When you Spend at Singapore Changi Airport

19 Mar 2009

Singapore Changi Airport is helping shoppers beat the recession via a special sure-win promotion.  The "Beat the Recession" promotion rewards shoppers instantly with Changi shopping vouchers.  S$700,000 of Changi vouchers will be given away in this month-long shopping promotion.

Inspired by the amusement arcade game, shoppers use a huge hammer to strike a target and "beat the recession".  They will win Changi shopping vouchers in denominations of $20, $50, $100 or $150, corresponding to the score obtained.  In this sure-win promotion, even those who miss out on these prizes will walk away with a $5 Changi voucher.  The vouchers can be redeemed at any outlet in the Departure Transit Malls of Terminals 1, 2 or 3.

To qualify for "Beat the Recession", spend $801 and above in a single receipt at any outlet at the Departure Transit Malls of Terminals 1, 2 or 3.  Each $80 receipt entitles the shopper to participate in the hammer game.  The “Beat the Recession” shopping promotion is running till 19 April 2009.

Those who are not travelling can take part in another shopping promotion at Changi Airport.  'Free Yourself from GST' is being held at Terminal 3's public area.  On top of saving 7%, shoppers who spend $30 by Visa or $60 by other means in a single receipt2 will be rewarded instantly with prizes.  For greater savings, shoppers just need to present a cut-out coupon to enjoy $5 off3 their purchases at any of the 27 participating outlets.  Shoppers can also save on parking for the first hour when they spend $30 by any means at any outlet at Terminal 3.  This promotion ends on 30 April 2009.

More information on the promotions is available on www.changiairport.com.

Note:
1 The $80 excludes payments made using Changi shopping vouchers
