CAAS Expresses its Condolences to the Family of Mr Leslie Yeo Bee Soon

The management and staff of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) would like to express their deepest condolences to the family of Mr Leslie Yeo Bee Soon, who has just been positively identified as a victim of the tragic Santika Pub fire in Bangkok.

Mr Leslie Yeo joined CAAS in 1994 as an air traffic controller.  During his 14 years of service, besides performing operational duties at the Singapore Air Traffic Control Centre and Changi Control Tower, Mr Leslie Yeo also served as an instructor to train new and existing controllers.  Just few months ago, he was appointed as a project officer responsible for air traffic management projects.

CAAS' Director-General and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Lim Kim Choon, expressed his deepest sympathies.  "We are saddened by the news confirming that Mr Leslie Yeo had been identified as a victim of the Santika Pub fire.  CAAS has lost another dedicated CAAS officer.  Our hearts go out to Mr Leslie Yeo's family members. CAAS has been assisting the family members during this difficult time and providing them with necessary support both in Singapore and Bangkok, working closely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its Embassy in Bangkok.  Like his close colleague, Mr Teo Sze Siong, Mr Leslie Yeo was well-liked by his colleagues and is deeply missed by his colleagues and friends in CAAS."
