CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY OF SINGAPORE PRIVACY STATEMENT

This is a Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (“CAAS”) digital service.

If you are only browsing this digital service, we do not capture data that allows us to identify you individually.

We may use “cookies”, where a small data file is sent to your browser to store and track information about you when you enter our websites. The cookie is used to track information such as the number of users and their frequency of use, profiles of users and their preferred sites. (d)       administering your account and maintaining records of the application for the course, event or permit / license;

(e)        administering and maintaining records of attendance in, and/or participation in the course or event;

(f)        conducting the course or event;

(g)        facilitating the payment and collection of fees for the course, event or permit / license, including payments by credit card, telegraphic transfer, bank draft, SkillsFuture Credit, or other means;

(h)        notifying and/or providing you with information on upcoming courses and events, or aviation-related content;

(i)        respond to your enquiries, feedback or requests; and

(j)        maintain the security, integrity and proper functioning of this digital service, including audit and investigation purposes.

We may share your personal data with other Government agencies if necessary, so as to improve the discharge of public functions, and to serve you in the most efficient and effective way, unless such sharing is prohibited by law.

We will NOT share your personal data with non-Government entities, except where such entities have been authorised to carry out specific Government services.

For your convenience, we may also display to you data you had previously supplied us or other Government agencies as far as such data is available to us. This will speed up the transaction and save you the trouble of repeating previous submissions. Should the data be out-of-date, please supply us the latest data. We will retain your personal data only for so long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required or authorised by law, including for audit, investigation, record-keeping and archival purposes.

To safeguard your personal data, all electronic storage and transmission of personal data are secured with appropriate security technologies.

This digital service may contain links to other digital services whose data protection and privacy practices may differ from ours. We are not responsible for the content and privacy practices of these other digital services and encourage you to consult the privacy notices of those digital services.
