No-fly zones and UA flying areas
Learn about the no-fly zones, temporary restricted areas, and designated flying areas in Singapore before operating your unmanned aircraft.

To find out where you can fly your UAs, including drones, check OneMap.
OneMap is a one-stop application that has been curated for UA users to identify areas where:
UA flying is recommended
permits are required
OneMap also provides useful geographical and regulatory requirements for all UA operators. Download the OneMap app.
No-fly zones
A no-fly zone is an area where you cannot operate UAs, including drones, without the required permit.
General no-fly zones include:
areas within:
5km of aerodromes
danger areas
prohibited areas
restricted areas
protected areas under the Air Navigation Act
Look out for signage in and around your flying area. National parks, nature reserves and private property may also have local restrictions or specific conditions for flying UAs, including drones.

Examples of signage
Temporary restricted area
During aerial displays or large-scale events such as the National Day Parade, CAAS may establish a Temporary Restricted Area (TRA).
A TRA is a designated zone where aerial activities such as kite-flying, hoisting of balloons, or flying of UAs are prohibited for a specific period.
Before flying, check OneMap to get the latest TRA updates.
Unmanned Aircraft Flying Areas (UAFAs)

Unmanned aircraft operators at UAFA @ Pandan Reservoir
UAFAs are community spaces for UA and drone enthusiasts to fly safely and interact with one another.
No fees are required for entry or use.
UAFA Site-specific operating guidelines
UA regulatory and safety requirements apply at UAFAs.
Signage at each site provides information on current regulations and site-specific rules. They raise awareness and educate enthusiasts on safe flying and good practices to observe in community space shared with other users such as joggers.
As these are public spaces, be considerate and avoid causing disturbance to nearby residents or park users.
