Registration / Deregistration
Learn how you can register and deregister your unmanned aircraft.
You must register your unmanned aircraft (UA) if it weighs more than 250g, unless it is used solely for light shows under a Class 1 Activity Permit.
Two-step UA registration process
UA registration is a two-step process:
Buy a registration label at S$25 each.
Complete the online registration via the UA Portal.
UA registration requirements
You must be at least 16 years old to register a UA.
If you are below 16 years old, your UA must be registered by an eligible individual, such as a parent or legal guardian, and you must have their permission to use the UA.You are responsible for all activities involving any UA (drone, remote-controlled aircraft, kite, etc.) registered under your name.
If your registration label is lost or damaged, you must buy a new label. Labels will not be replaced.

Getting your registration label
You can buy a registration label:
For online purchases, delivery of the registration label takes up to 5 working days. Delivery is only available within Singapore.
How to register your UA online
1. Affix the registration label
When you receive the registration label, affix it securely to a visible and non-detachable part of the UA’s main body.
Do not place the label on parts that are easily removed or replaced, such as propellers, propeller guards, batteries or payloads.



2. Take a photo
Take a clear photo showing the registration label affixed to your UA. You will need to upload this during registration.

3. Complete the registration online
Once your registration label is affixed, complete the registration through the UA Portal.
Log in using one of the following:
Singpass (for individuals and businesses)
UAPass (for those without Singpass, e.g. tourists or foreigners)
UAPass takes 5 working days to process. Please create your UAPass before arriving in Singapore.

How to deregister your UA
You must deregister your UA via the UA Portal in any of the following situations:
Your UA is lost or damaged beyond repair.
The registration label is damaged or illegible.
You have sold or given your UA to another person.
Registration labels are non-transferable. The new owner must buy a new registration label and complete the online registration.
After deregistration, remove the label from the UA and destroy it.
Operating an unregistered UA above 250g in Singapore is an offence. You may be fined up to S$10,000 and/or jailed for up to 6 months.
