There are different types of pilot licences. Each has its own requirements and conditions.
A Private Pilot Licence is required to conduct leisure flight for personal, non-commercial purposes.
A Commercial Pilot Licence, Multi-Crew Pilot Licence or Air Transport Pilot Licence is required to operate a commercial flight for public transport or aerial work.
A Commercial Pilot Licence or Air Transport Pilot Licence, each with a Flying Instructor Rating, is required to conduct flight instruction.
How to qualify
To obtain a pilot licence, you must:
acquire the knowledge and skills to fly
be medically fit and communicate well
You can either undergo training with a CAAS-approved Aviation Training Organisation or convert your foreign pilot licence.
