Airline Transport Pilot Licence
Learn about the requirements and application process for your Airline Transport Pilot Licence.
You must have an Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) to pilot a Singapore-registered multi-crew aircraft for public transport, aerial work or flight instruction.
An ATPL allows you to fly in the capacities, aircraft types and for the purposes listed in the table below.

How to qualify
To obtain an ATPL, you must meet all the following requirements:
be at least 21 years old
be able to speak and understand English used for radiotelephony communications
meet the Class 1 medical requirements
pass the theoretical knowledge examinations at the ATPL level
meet the minimum flying experience requirements
have or qualify for a multi-crew aircraft rating to be endorsed in the ATPL

How to apply for an ATPL
Register for the required ATPL examinations and pay the fees on the CAAS Examination Portal.
Submit your ATPL application or renewal on CAPELS.
