Commercial Pilot Licence
Learn about the requirements and application process for your Commercial Pilot Licence.
You must have a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) to pilot a Singapore-registered aircraft for public transport, aerial work or flight instruction.
A CPL allows you to fly in the capacities, aircraft types and for the purposes listed in the table below.

How to qualify
To obtain a CPL, you must meet all the following requirements:
be at least 18 years old
be able to speak and understand English used for radiotelephony communications
pass the theoretical knowledge examinations at the CPL or Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) level
complete an approved course of flight training that meets the minimum flying experience requirements
pass the flight tests

How to apply for a CPL
Register for the required CPL examinations and pay the fees on the CAAS Examination Portal.
Submit your CPL application or renewal on CAPELS.
