Student Pilot Licence
Learn about the requirements and application process for your Student Pilot Licence.
A Student Pilot Licence (SPL) allows you to fly solo under the supervision of a CAAS-approved flying instructor as part of your training to obtain or renew a pilot licence.
How to qualify
To obtain an SPL, you must meet all the following requirements:
be at least 16 years old
No prior flying experience or theoretical examinations are required for the initial issue or renewal of an SPL.
