Private Pilot Licence
Learn about the requirements and application process for your Private Pilot Licence.
You must have a Private Pilot Licence (PPL) to conduct a private or leisure flight in a Singapore-registered aircraft.
A PPL allows you to fly in the capacities, aircraft types and for the purposes listed in the table below.

How to qualify
To obtain a PPL, you must meet all the following requirements:
be at least 17 years old
be able to speak and understand English used for radiotelephony communications
meet at least Class 2 medical requirements
pass the theoretical knowledge examinations at the PPL level
complete flight training that meets the minimum flying experience requirements
pass the flight test

How to apply for a PPL
Register for the required PPL examinations and pay the fees on the CAAS Examination Portal.
