CAAS Partners Changi General Hospital To Enhance Health And Mental Wellness Support For Aviation Workers
7 April 2026
Four-day OneAviation Wellness Festival to be held at Changi Airport and Changi Airfreight Centre to raise awareness amongst aviation companies and workers
The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) is working with the Changi General Hospital (CGH) to enhance health and mental wellness support for the 60,000-strong aviation workforce. This includes pilots, cabin crew, air traffic controllers, maintenance engineers and technicians, passenger service and security officers, and ground handling staff. From 7 to 10 April 2026, CAAS and CGH have partnered to organise the inaugural OneAviation Wellness Festival, at Changi Airport Terminals 2 and 3, and the Changi Airfreight Centre to reach out to aviation workers at their places of work. The OneAviation Wellness Festival is one of the key initiatives developed under the CAAS-CGH Collaboration Agreement signed in July 2025. Held in conjunction with World Health Day 2026, the festival is supported by the National Trades Union Congress’s (NTUC) Aerospace & Aviation Cluster of unions, the Airline Pilots’ Association Singapore (ALPA-S) and Changi Airport Group (CAG).
2 This is the first ever aviation sector health and mental wellness event that has been specially curated by CGH’s Occupational and Aviation Medicine team, to address the specific health and mental wellness needs of aviation workers, based on an appreciation of the unique demands of their work environment. It seeks to equip aviation workers with practical knowledge, actionable tips and useful resources to help manage their own health and wellness.
3 The festival will address the holistic health and well-being needs of the aviation workforce along seven themes: (i) Mental Wellness; (ii) Dietetics and Nutrition; (iii) Preventive Health and Health Screening; (iv) Physical Wellness and Exercise; (v) Workplace Occupational Health and Injury Prevention; (vi) Sleep Hygiene; and (vii) Addiction Management and Smoking Cessation. Participants can look forward to exhibits tailored to airport and airline operations. They include physiotherapy-led consultations and ergonomic advice for safer operations, sharing sessions on heat injury prevention for airside and cargo work, and sleep hygiene for shift-based staff and flight crew to better manage fatigue. Healthcare professionals will also share practical, evidence-based tips at the event. Additionally, there will be an immersive nature-themed relaxation zone where participants can practise quick reset routines and develop personalised unwinding techniques. These skills can be used during operational breaks to help maintain alertness and ensure safe performance in safety-critical roles.
4 To ensure that the event is accessible to all aviation workers, the festival will be held over four days across three locations. As the event is curated and tailored for aviation workers, it will not be open to the public. Participants will need to be in uniform or have an airport, airline or other aviation employee pass for identification.
