Storage Tank Fire Risk Management
You will gain a solid foundation of knowledge and skills to safely and effectively resolve emergencies that involve a variety of flammable products which are stored in different types of tanks which are found in airport, refinery, petrochemical, oil terminal, pharmaceutical and waste oil/solvent recovery industries.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Review existing fire safety policy, management and procedures for the storage tank facility
- Understand fuel farms and the fire safety considerations
- Appreciate the fire-fighting principles and procedures
- Understand Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) storage and its hazards
- Develop an incident management system and emergency plan for fuel farm emergencies
