Up-and-Coming Band The Ting Tings Makes Special Appearance at Singapore Changi Airport

Passengers at Singapore Changi Airport got a chance to cosy up to UK pop sensation The Ting Tings this evening.  The duo made an appearance at Terminal 2's Departure / Transit Mall at a meet-and-greet session organised by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). There were photography opportunities for lucky fans, who also walked away with autographs. The band is performing for the first time in Singapore at the inaugural BIG NIGHT OUT concert at Fort Canning Park.

The up-and-coming band, comprising Jules De Martino and Katie White, shot to fame with the single 'Shut Up and Let Me Go', which was featured in a commercial.  The Ting Tings then caught the attention of music fans worldwide with their breakthrough hit single, 'That's Not My Name', and debut album 'We Started Nothing', both of which charted at number one in the UK.

This rare opportunity to catch The Ting Tings in-person was made possible by the CAAS and Changi Airport's meet-and-greet sessions with famous personalities.  Previous celebrity sessions featured Air Supply, Mötley Crüe, Bollywood superstars such as Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan and top golfers Annika Sorenstam and Lorena Ochoa.  Changi Airport is the first airport in the world to organise such meet-and-greet sessions for travellers in transit.
